Our Story
KAMComm was formed as an informal family gathering by Muslim professionals of African background residing in and around Chatham, Rochester, Gillingham, Strood, Gravesend and other towns in Kent – South East England. The aim of the group was to provide an opportunity for the families to promote common interest in religion, education, social, finance, culture and other communal welfare activities which they share.
We currently have monthly meet ups every first Sunday of the month for Halaqa for men, while women also do similar online.
We organise events for the community e.g. Eid parties and Quarterly family programmes such as lectures on topic on Islam and contemporary issues, and Ramadan Tafsir.
